Centennial Virtual Academy is an online program that serves students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. The Academy is designed to support families who prefer that their children learn from home with guidance and support provided by teachers. We have learned a lot during our first year. Based on what we have learned, we have made some adjustments to our program for next year in order to better meet the needs of our students and families.  Our teachers will meet with you and your student(s) on a regular basis to help you create a schedule that works for you and offer guidance for navigating the online platform and curriculum. CVA also provides regular optional opportunities for students to connect with peers online for community building as well as academic support. Partnerships with neighborhood schools allows CVA students the choice of participating in select courses as well as sports, clubs, and after school events in person.

Centennial Virtual Academy is a great choice for families who want to homeschool their student(s), but would like support from their local school district. This is also a great opportunity for families currently participating in another online program to consider returning to your neighborhood district.

We have learned a lot during our first year and have made some adjustments to our program for next year in order to better meet the needs of our students and families. Our new program model includes support teachers who will meet with you and your student(s) on a regular basis to help you create a schedule that works for you and offer guidance for navigating the online platform and curriculum.

    Program Model:

Students will be assigned a support teacher who will partner with their family to ensure that they will have a successful experience in the CVA program. Support teacherswill meet with students on a regularly scheduled basis and with families at specified times either in person or through Zoom or Google Chat to help them plan their personalized schedules and monitor progress in their coursework.

This personalized approach honors the needs of each individual student and family, allowing for choice and flexibility while maintaining a rigorous learning experience. Your support teacher is your primary contact and support. If there is something specific your support teacher cannot help you with, he/she has access to other teachers and professionals who can help.

Elementary(K-5) & Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12) students and their families will be assigned a support teacher who will stay with them for a range of years. Siblings within the range will have the same support teacher. CVA also provides regular optional opportunities for students to connect with peers online for community building as well as academic support. Partnerships with neighborhood schools allows CVA students the choice of participating in select courses as well as sports, clubs, and after school events in person.
