Centennial School District 28J

The Budget Committee is composed of both members of the School Board as well as seven additional community volunteers, with roles and responsibilities prescribed by Oregon Budget Law. Each year, the Budget Committee reviews the proposed budget and shares their feedback with District leadership, as well as provides District leadership with direction on budget priorities. After hearing feedback from the public, the Budget Committee approves the budget if they believe it accurately represents the needed priorities, after which the budget is sent to the Board of Directors for final adoption.

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Centennial School District, Multnomah/Clackamas County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 will be held via Zoom on April 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The meeting details will be available on the District website listed below.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.  

An additional, separate meeting of the Budget Committee will be held to take public comment.  Any person may appear at that meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. The meeting for public comment will be held via Zoom on May 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
